Jasmine and Jonathan were married at one of our favorite venues, the Round Hill House in Washingtonville, NY. This location holds a very special place as we were married there over 8 years ago. Jasmine and Jonathan grew up together and so family and friends have been waiting for this day more than they could remember. There was not a dry eye in the place when the bride and groom read their vows. With an intimate picturesque setting such as Round Hill, they truly could not have chosen a more perfect venue. As the day turned to night, DJ David from A Perfect Blend Entertainment rocked the house and kept everyone dancing and laughing the entire night!

We truly felt like it was a family affair with so many special touches that you just felt the love for this couple radiating throughout the room. At the close of the ceremony as Jonathan symbolically was breaking the glass a fire boat shot water into the air in celebration of these newlyweds. The couple and their guests were amazed to see such great planning so well executed... and the night was full of more surprises, from the creative singing by the bride's sister to a fabulous song by the father of the bride to his daughter.

Bridal Party Beach Volleyball !!!

Some of the best experiences documenting a wedding happen when we know that we have a fun couple and bridal party... our creative juices start flowing and we sense that everyone is ready for anything to happen. Krista and Chris along with their fantastic bridal party were receptive to our ideas and it didn't take a lot of convincing to get everybody onto the sandy court for a fun impromptu game of beach volleyball - what an amazing sight!

We had a fun time scouting locations in our old neighborhood, the West Village, before meeting up with Justini and David for their engagement session. Starting at Washington Square Park and strolling along the boutique shops and brownstone filled streets on our way towards The High Line inspired us to capture this soon to be bride and groom in the New York City landscape. Justini and David currently live in the West Village and were super excited to document this time in their lives there... certainly a very different setting than their country wedding coming up in August at Hildene in Manchester, Vermont.

One of our favorite stops was Love Gelato shop where we had a blast taking photographs as they enjoyed one another over a refreshing dessert on a perfect warm Spring day.

Our goal is to capture memorable moments in beautiful settings... to do it fast and most importantly... to have fun!

With Kim and Charles at the Essex House this was especially true. We covered so much within a one block radius documenting them in some fantastic locations... in Central Park, on a busy NYC street and at the local hot dog vendor grabbing a quick snack before the festivities began.

Charlotte

A 2 1/2 year old that sits, listens and wants her photo taken? Often a photo session with a child this age means lots of running around but little Charlotte was 2 1/2 going on 10. We had a blast photographing her in Central Park. With so many great moments and expressions and lots of fabulous conversation, Charlotte was a dream subject. Check out the slideshow we created from our session and read further to learn more about where the proceeds from this portrait session have been donated to.

We often donate portrait sessions to auction benefits and most recently the organization we donated to was near and dear to our heart. Our friend's 3 1/2 year old daughter, Kaitlyn, was diagnosed with Marfan Disease in 2007. The National Marfan Foundation provides education, research and support to those affected by the disease and their families. Kaitlyn's amazing parents have continued their support for the organization honoring the memory of their beautiful daughter Kaitlyn who lost her battle to the disease at only 4 years of age last September. Loudonville, New York - Alexis and David

Arriving to a destination for a weekend of wedding festivities is always an exciting time for us as photographers. We started Friday night at the rehearsal dinner and ended the lovely weekend with the brunch on Sunday. Alexis and David were a blast to photograph and you can just tell from the emotion on their faces, how much they are in love and how much they have been looking forward to this special weekend!

The wedding took place at the private residence of the bride's parents in their hometown of Loudonville, New York. The couple and their parents along with the spectacular wedding planner, Lisa Light of Destination Bride , put together such an elegant and memorable affair at this picturesque setting. David Schmidt of Renaissance Floral Design created amazing decor and arrangements adding the perfect touches to this beautiful day. With a creative team such as this, the result was the most elegant tent for the reception with hanging chandeliers, wall to wall carpeting, draperies and exquisite flowers. We also worked with a great documentary videographer, Al Woodard of Al Woodard Films.

It was a phenomenal scene to photograph all night long!

Bryant Park Grill - Tamara and Simon

Bryant Park on a beautiful June day with Tamara and Simon was a blast! The colorful carousel in the middle of the park with an energized bride and groom made for a picturesque scene and we were so excited about capturing these images. The park was packed with people but you can tell that Tamara and Simon had their eyes only on each other. As we all took our journey around the park, we found so many fantastic backdrops.

The Bryant Park Hotel was a fun place to photograph Tamara before we arrived to The Bryant Park Grill, which was a fabulous place to work as always.

Trump National Golf Club - Rebecca and Scott

The Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County was the most picturesque backdrops for Rebecca and Scott's wedding. The golf carts allowed us to find the perfect settings for our photo session. What a beautiful glowing couple having so much fun together amidst the serenity of trees and the sound of the waterfall. They were a blast from the moment we started the day...and the smiles and energy lasted until the very last song was played.

Three months old is a great time to photograph a baby as they start having new expressions and interacting more with the world around them. They still have all the baby features that we want to document before they start gaining more strength and changing rapidly. While Jake was catching some zzz's we were able to photograph body details of his hands, feet, and face. Once awake, he was full of energy and ready for some fun shots on the set. The warmth of the beautiful heirloom furniture added such a wonderful touch to some special moments we were able to capture.

Bryant Park Grill - Tamar and Marcus

Located in Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan is the picturesque Bryant Park Grill. Among the snow covered pathways and trees, Marcus waited along the path before entering the tented area where the ceremony would later take place. He saw Tamar and the long anticipated moment of their first glance took place.

As the sky turned dark and the ceremony began, you could see the city landscape through the top of the tent. The wet snow gave a very cool effect as the colorful city lights shined bright. This image above really captured the ambiance of the moment.

Temple Emanu-El - Deborah and Matthew

Deborah and Matthew's wedding followed the many jewish customs including the amazing Mezinka. When parents are marrying off their last child, a certain dance is performed. The happy parents are seated in the center of the dance floor and laurel wreaths are placed on their heads. While the band plays a lively tune, the wedding guests line up and approach the parents with words of congratulations. What is amazing is that Deborah and Matthew were both the youngest and last children of their parents to be married...and so the "double mezinka" took place. This was such a great site and so amazing to be a part of and document.

Oheka Castle is magnificent and such a special place to be married. Corrine and James planned a perfect wedding weekend with every detail as amazing as the next. From the strands of crystal throughout the ceremony and ballroom floral arrangements, the bride's unique logo design, the acrobatics and then the amazing Frank Sinatra singer as added entertainment, there is no doubt that family and friends were amidst a very special affair.

We always enjoy photographing the earlier moments of the day with the bride and groom. This photograph below was taken when Corrine caught a glimpse of the ceremony site below from her suite window.

It feels like yesterday when we photographed Ethan at 6 weeks and here he is now for his 1 year portraits. Our session took place in Central Park which is such a special oasis and there is something remarkable about being there and taking photos in the serene atmosphere. Ethan was in such a fantastic mood and we had a blast hanging out and rolling around in the leaves. The images of Ethan in his new Converse sneakers and playing with pine cones and tree branches are just priceless. He was taking in a whole new experience and exploring his world. The Fall is our favorite season of the year to photograph outdoors as the different colors of the leaves make for the most beautiful backdrops. The weather was PERFECT and we had a blast at the Goldbergs' home. The second we arrived, the kids were just beaming and ready to jump into the leaves for our photosession. Emily took a few shots with our camera and Ethan showed us his batting stance.

As we drove through the grounds of the North Shore Country Club in Glenhead, New York, we knew this was going to be an amazing opportunity. The beautiful blue sky, perfect weather, serene atmosphere and the lush grounds of the golf course was a perfect match for Sarah and Paul. From the moment they had their first glimpse of one another, the smiles and laughter never stopped. We were given golf carts and free reign along the course to choose the best settings for our portrait session. On our quick drive back for family photos, Sarah and Paul took a little joy ride on the cart...we all had a blast!

We photograph many events at the The Palm House at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden but it was special to be there to photograph Devra and Jay's wedding. The backdrop of the garden allowed us to capture such fantastic moments and with the brilliance of natural light, the beauty of the day unfolded in front of our eyes.

Working together as a husband and wife team gives us the opportunity to capture moments simultaneously. The ceremony is a prime example of what makes us a unique team. While I concentrated on the bride and groom, Josh was there anticipating reactions of the family and bridal party...wow...it was so evident how happy everyone was for Devra and Jay.

Spring Valley Country Club - Erika and David

We were excited to make the weekend trip to Sharon, Massachusettes which was just a town away from where Josh grew up. It was such a fun wedding and great to see the Landau family again. We photographed the wedding of the groom's brother, Best Man, in NYC over two years ago so it was a fun reunion for us as well!

Erika and David planned every detail and were preparing their first dance for months. They surprised guests with a hustle- style dance to a disco song and the bride changed her attire for the occasion. We were all quite impressed by their dance moves. The grounds surrounding the Spring Valley Country Club were beautiful and we were fortunate to be driven around on a golf cart to reach some grand locations. Alexa

Alexa is 3 1/2 months old and was such a champ for our photoshoot. She was able to keep her eyes open for almost two and half hours before she just conked out with her special blankie. Being a baby model is a tough job. It is amazing how much a child changes over the first year. Our sessions at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months are always so very unique as we document the different milestones from sitting to crawling and walking. We photographed Deb and Marty's wedding in 2005 and it was so great to hear from them after the birth of their son. Even better that we were able to plan a photo session on their trip back east from Colorado this past week. We met up in Manhattan for a fun shoot at the home of Noah's grandma. Location shoots are so wonderful because it allows us to be creative and work in new places with fun backgrounds. The bowl sitting on the dining table was just the perfect centerpiece with baby Noah!

A fun couple, a beautiful location, amazing attention to detail and terrific food grown right on the premises. Blue Hill at Stone Barns was the perfect setting for Judy and Ryan's wedding.

Everything that Judy and Ryan planned from the custom boxes left for their guests at the hotel to the flowers and menu cards were prepared with love and care. We had a blast at this quaint and warm establishment. We highly recommend that everyone take the trip up to Westchester to taste the wonderful fresh dishes the chefs create. The gardens, the farm, the conservatory and the classrooms are open to the public during the day so why not make a day of it?

We definitely felt the love between this couple and the family and friends that witnessed their special moments together. From the couple's first glance of one another to the energized party, they were surrounded by love. The smiles and laughter on the dancefloor were contagious. One of our favorite moments of the party was when all the parents and the couple joined hands and were dancing together during the horah. Check out the images in the slideshow below. Laura, a graphic designer, used her creativity from the invitations and programs to the beautifully designed cake. They planned an amazing day at the Marriott East in New York City.

Allison and Ross

When Allison and Ross were looking for a place to be married, they came across our photos of Caramoor in New York Magazine's Weddings issue. They had seen so many places but this one was, well, lets just say... MAGICAL. After taking a ride up to Westchester to see the grounds of this music and performing arts center, they knew they had found their match.

Allison and Ross have such an amazing spirit and you can just see them beaming at one another as they strolled through the gardens on their wedding day. It was a dream wedding for them and for us as photographers too. We had Christopher Duggan join our photography team that day and he helped capture some great images. The montage of images below takes place after Allison and Ross said "I Do" and shows how amazing it is to have multiple photographers tell a story from different vantage points.

Lulu at 5 Months

We had such an amazing time photographing Lulu. She was adorable and stayed awake and happy for the two hours we spent with her. Her presence in front of the camera was fascinating.

Child photography has and always will be a passion of ours. Often we are commissioned for our child portraits and then create beautiful heirloom quality albums, prints and canvas wall hangings for the family to enjoy for years to come.

Our son is now almost 11 months old and we know that the time goes by fast...it is so important to capture this precious moment in time.

Naomi and Benji

What a celebration! Naomi and Benji were married at the beautiful Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers. Introduced to one another by Naomi's brother, they were so excited to be married that they wasted no time in planning a spectacular day. Benji was carried in amongst friends and family to see his beautiful bride. We documented the festive dancing throughout the entire night and there was not a moment these two took a breather. Lauren and Casey's chemistry was extremely evident from the moment we met them at our studio. They have a fun, caring and soothing demeanor and complement one another. She and her mom designed her fabulous dress in which she looked stunning.

Lisa and Tim were married at Capitale which use to be home to The Bowery Savings Bank. The ceremony took place in the round surrounded by the beautiful cathedral ceilings with changing colors throughout the night. The Grand Venetian Ballroom was quite a sight and an amazing space for family and friends to celebrate this special occasion.

Rain on your wedding day is considered good luck. The raindrops were falling when we arrived to the Pleasantdale Chateau. Fortunately the chateau offered beautiful backdrops... from the lush greenhouse and picturesque pool to the skylight in the ballroom and warmth in every room, it was fun to document Hilary and Matthew throughout the grounds. And as soon as the ceremony ended and their new life as husband and wife began, the sun shined and lured us outside for a second photo session.

The amazing weather and beautiful Tarrytown House allowed for the most perfect setting for Michelle and Andrew's wedding. Michelle and Andrew's attention to details were evident throughout the day...from Michelle's shoes and flowers to the programs and menus. Often a bride and groom will spend much time on the details for their guests and our goal is to capture all of these accents that add a unique touch to a very special day.

Tricia and Hal

Tricia and Hal are lucky and in love. They were married on a historic day, July 7, 2007 or 07.07.07. Their day was beauitful and filled with so many special moments. Tricia, an identical twin, was the third and last Basta sister to be wed and her father gave one of the most heartfelt speeches we have heard to date. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at The Hamlet at Willow Creek which was a beauitful backdrop for our photo session. In keeping with the 7 theme, each guest received a Lucky 7's scratch ticket with a lucky penny. What a fantastic favor! Perhaps one of their guests went home a lucky winner that night.

Consuelo and John reside in Maryland but that did not stop them from having a fabulous New York City wedding. Our photo session began on the streets of downtown Manhattan and then together with their bridal party we were off to Battery Park. With the great weather, it seemed that the park was a popular location but we were able to find some serene and beautiful spots for everyone to share some special moments.
